Water Damage Claims
Navigating the complex process for full recovery.
Water damage is one of the most common — and most disputed — property claims. Insurers scrutinize the source, question how long the water sat, and often overlook the full scope of hidden damage behind walls and under floors.
Cordo Claims Group documents the true extent of the loss, from visible staining to trapped moisture and mold risk, and negotiates a settlement that covers proper drying, demolition and rebuild.
Common sources of water damage
- Roof and window leaks
- Burst or failed supply pipes
- Appliance and water-heater leaks
- Air-conditioning overflow
- Sewage and drain backups
- Storm and flood-related intrusion
Why work with a public adjuster
Insurance companies staff their claims with experienced adjusters, engineers and attorneys — all working to limit what they pay. A public adjuster is the only licensed professional who represents you instead. We interpret your policy, document the full scope of loss, and negotiate on your behalf so nothing is left on the table.

We assess the damage and review your coverage at no cost or obligation.

Frequently asked questions
Is gradual water damage covered?
Most policies cover sudden and accidental water discharge but exclude long-term seepage. The dispute is almost always about which one happened. The physical evidence — staining patterns, material deterioration, plumbing failure mode — has to be documented correctly, because the insurer will read ambiguity in its own favor.
Should I start cleanup before the insurance company inspects?
You must mitigate further damage — but photograph and video everything first, keep samples of damaged materials where practical, and save every receipt. Mitigation without documentation is how legitimate claims get minimized.
What does it cost?
Nothing up front. We work on a contingency basis — we don't get paid unless you do. Your free evaluation carries no cost or obligation.
My claim was already denied or underpaid. Can you still help?
Yes. A large share of the claims we take on were previously denied or underpaid. We frequently reopen and re-document these claims to recover what was owed.
